The 2025 Race
The Gift of Running 2025, subtitled With Purpose and Hope, was organised by Rule and Rich Events Management Services and presented by MNL City Run, for the Child Haus Foundation, which supports children having cancer treatment [1]. It started and finished at Central Park in Filinvest City, Alabang, with a 10 km at 5am, a 5 km at 6am, a 3 km at 6.15am and a 1 km dog run at 6.20am [1][2]. No route map, cut-offs or aid-station plan were published.
The Weather: A Breezy December Morning
Manila's Ninoy Aquino airport, about 15 km north of Filinvest City, recorded 26°C with a dew point of 20°C, 70% humidity and a 6- to 8-knot north wind every hour from 5am to 7am on race morning, under broken cloud [4]. It was 27°C at 8am, with the wind up to 11 knots [4].
A 20°C dew point with a steady breeze is about as comfortable as Metro Manila gets. A median 10 km runner finished at about 6.20am, well before the warming.
How Fast the Field Is
The 10 km had 943 finishers. It was won in 34:29 by a man and 46:53 by a woman; tenth place was 41:16 and tenth woman 56:05 [5]. The median finisher took 1:20:37 and the slowest tenth more than 1:46. Only 16% broke an hour, and 43% of finishers were women [5].
That is a walk-and-run field: a 55-minute 10 km runner finishes in the top tenth, and nobody is out of place at 1:30.
Should You Enter the 2026 Race?
Yes, for the 10 km or shorter, if you want an early, breezy charity run in Alabang with a relaxed field.
Think twice about the new 21 km if you want a proven half marathon: 2025 had no race longer than 10 km, so its route, aid and limits are unknown.
The 2026 race, the final leg of the MNL City Run 2026 series, is on Sunday 6 December at Central Park, Filinvest City, with a 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, 3 km and dog run, for the CRIBS Foundation [3]. Fees run from PHP 850 for the dog run to PHP 1,850 for the 21 km [3].
Nobody from this site ran the race. This review draws on event listings, the full 10 km results and airport weather records.
