Kuching's longest-running groups are its hash clubs, which run trails through the jungle and forest around the city at weekends: Kuching City Hash Club on Saturdays at 4:30pm and Kota Padawan Hash on Sundays. Kuching City Hash Club also leads the organising committee for Interhash 2028, the worldwide hash gathering, which Kuching hosts on 14-16 July 2028. On the roads, the City Jogger's Club organises the Kuching Half Marathon Heritage Run, whose 2026 edition on 26 July had more than 4,200 confirmed runners from 20 countries. Kuching Happy Runners Club and NRG Athletics Club, founded in 2024, post their runs and race trips on Facebook and Instagram.
A Kuching running club that organises the annual Kuching Half Marathon Heritage Run, a 21.1km, 10km and 5km road race starting in the city centre on a route past heritage landmarks and the riverside. The 2027 edition is on 18 April 2027 at Dewan Masyarakat, Jalan Padungan, earlier in the year than the late-July date of previous editions.
