January in Buriram is cool-season Isan: morning temperatures in the mid-to-high teens, lower humidity than coastal Thailand, and minimal rain. It's as good as marathon weather gets in the country.

If you want a Thai marathon with a genuinely unique venue, a flat-and-fast course, and cool-season conditions, the Buriram Marathon is one of the strongest picks on the 2027 calendar.
