Padang Merbok: A Field With History
The race flags off at 3:30am from Padang Merbok, a large open field on Jalan Parlimen next to the National Monument and Parliament House. [1] The field was a pivotal site during Malaysia's independence era and has long served as a start point for Kuala Lumpur running events; it briefly closed behind fences from 2022 before reopening to the public in January 2026. Three Distances, Two Tiers Within the Half
Distances on offer are a 5KM Fun Run, 10KM Fun Run, and the 21.1KM half marathon, which is itself split into Competitive ('SPEED') and Non-Competitive ('Leisure') registration options.
