Hanoi's runners gather around the city's lakes and parks. At Hoan Kiem Lake (Ho Guom), Chay365 has held a Saturday dawn long run for more than 220 weeks, and ASICS Running Club meets on Sundays. Neighbourhood groups run at Den Lu Lake, Hoang Cau Lake and Hoa Binh Park. Most group runs start early, from about 5am, and some groups add evening sessions from around 6pm. The hash groups leave the city on Saturday afternoons for countryside trails. Much of the scene organises through Facebook groups and Strava clubs, often tied to one lake, park or housing area.
adidas's Hanoi running community, the sister group of adidas Runners Saigon. VnExpress (Nov 2024) reported that adidas Runners sessions run on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and are led by coaches, crew and pacers.

A Hanoi running community and website founded in 2014. Its weekly Saturday dawn long run around Hoan Kiem Lake has a volunteer water station and pacers, and a photo diary is posted after each week. It sometimes holds joint runs with other clubs.

A neighbourhood running club from the Ecolife Tố Hữu area in west Hanoi. On 21 Mar 2026 it joined Chay365 and Dương Nội Runner Club for a joint long run at Thiên Văn Học Park, Dương Nội.
A hash kennel, running since 1991, that takes a bus out of the city every Saturday, rain or shine. Trails run through villages, rice fields and hills, with walking (about 6 km) and running (about 8 km) options, followed by a beer circle.
