5K Races in Malaysia: 2026 Calendar

Fifteen races across Malaysia bundle a 5K into their lineup between mid-August and mid-November 2026, almost all of them JomRun-powered half marathons that pair 21.1km with 10km and 5km on the same morning. Kuala Lumpur alone contributes three -- the KL Half Marathon, Malaysia Marathon, and KLSCM -- while the rest spreads from Kota Kinabalu and Kuching in East Malaysia to Johor's Tebrau City, Mersing, Puchong and Kulai races in the south, and Kota Bharu, Jitra and Kuala Terengganu further north. October is the busiest month, with five races inside four weeks. As with the rest of the JomRun calendar, the 5K is consistently the entry-level option rather than a race anyone travels for on its own.
